Seagrave Singers is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director with immediate effect.

Seagrave Singers is a well-established ladies choir that has been in existence for many years.

The choir is an non-audition SSA choir of around 40 singers ranging in age and ability but all enjoying the pleasure of singing. Generally we organise and perform two of our own concerts each year. In addition to this we are often invited to sing at other events. We have also participated in two successful and enjoyable tours to Lahnstein, Germany. Our repertoire is diverse; from performing works by Chilcott and Rutter, to “Songs from Shows”, Abba, Adele, and lots in-between! We have also taken part in local competitions.

The choir rehearses on a Monday evening at The Boathouse, Kettering, NN15 6PB from 79pm. We meet throughout the year with two weeks off at Christmas time, two weeks off at the end of August and also bank holidays. These dates can be negotiated for the right candidate!

The post of MD attracts a fee on a per-rehearsal basis with an additional fee for concerts.

We would expect candidates to have prior experience of running similar adult choirs and to be prepared to work alongside the choir’s committee in determining programs, concert dates etc. We are looking for someone who can inspire, enthuse and engage with the choir and enable us to continue to perform great pieces of music. Our website has more information about the choir.
