About Us

The Seagrave Singers are a well estabilished, highly regarded and popular, all-female choir.

The choir has enjoyed taking part in competitions over many years, and are very proud of their achievements.

The choir rehearses on a Monday evening 6.45 p.m -9.00 p.m. at The Boathouse, Kettering Leisure Village, Thurston Drive, Kettering, NN15 6PB.

The Seagrave Singers is a welcoming and talented amateur choir. New members are not required to audition to join, nor read music, but an ability to sing in tune is helpful. Prospective members are given two complimentary sessions, before making the decision to join the choir. There is an expected commitment to attend weekly rehearsals, where full support is given.

The choir is embarking on a new journey under the leadership of Jonathan Ellson. Whilst revisiting some established pieces of the repertoire he is introducing new, exciting and interesting songs. Rehearsals are fun but focused. Jonathan is an understanding and methodical teacher. Teaching aids are provided to encourage practice at home.

The choir makes every effort to perform without copies.

During the year members like to meet socially.

Concerts can be given in a wide range of venues, for charitable causes and other events.

" I do enjoy rehearsals and feel really uplifted and buzzing when I get home." ~ Choir member quote
