About Us

The Seagrave Singers are a well estabilished, highly regarded and popular, all-female choir.

The choir has enjoyed taking part in competitions over many years, and are very proud of their achievements.

The choir rehearses on a Monday evening 6.45 p.m -9.00 p.m. at The Boathouse, Kettering Leisure Village, Thurston Drive, Kettering, NN15 6PB.  Rehearsals are fun but focused. From “note bashing” for four part harmonies, to musical interpretation, to concert standard.

The repertoire is wide ranging, from Handel, Chilcott, Rutter, to “Songs from Shows”, Abba, Adele, Michael Jackson and other popular artistes.

The Seagrave Singers is a welcoming and talented amateur choir. All concerts and competitions are performed without copies, and some pieces have simple choreography.

New members are not required to audition to join, nor read music, but an ability to sing in tune is helpful. Prospective members are given two complimentary sessions, before making the decision to join the choir. There is an expected commitment to weekly rehearsals, where full support is given.

Members also like to meet socially, throughout the year.

Concerts can be given in a wide range of venues, for charitable causes and other events.

" I do enjoy rehearsals and feel really uplifted and buzzing when I get home." ~ Choir member quote
